Young American soprano Heather Buck has come to international attention for her sparkling coloratura and her incisive musicianship. Recent engagements include Barcelona ’s Gran Teatre Del Liceu in Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos, the 2001 Spoleto Festival USA in Dido and Aeneas, Opera Birmingham, Opera Delaware, and several appearances with New York City Opera. A frequent collaborator with Music Director Grant Llewellyn in performances with such organizations as the Pacific Symphony, the Opera Company of St. Louis, and the Spoleto Festival, Ms. Buck made her Handel and Haydn Society debut this past December in Handel's Messiah.
