
Mezzo-soprano Krista River combines a clear, warm voice
with a natural musicality and charming stage presence. Highlights
of her 2004-05 season include her New York Recital debut
at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, concert engagements
including Handel’s Messiah with the Santa Fe Symphony & Chorus,
Vivaldi’s Gloria with the Concord Chorus and Handel’s
Israel in Egypt with Emmanuel Music, recitals at the Saco
River Festival in Maine and on the Bravi! Vermont series,
and an opera appearance with Boston’s Prism Opera as
Annio in La Clemenza di Tito. Ms. River has appeared as a
concert soloist in Mozart’s Sparrow Mass with the Handel
and Haydn Society, Bach’s Magnificat and Christmas
Oratorio with Emmanuel Music, and Telemann’s St.
Matthew Passion with the Pittsburgh Bach and Baroque Ensemble. Her
opera appearances include Amahl and the Night Visitors with
the Santa Fe Symphony, Albert Herring with the Red House
Opera, Don Giovanni with Opera Aperta, Hansel
and Gretel with Opera Southwest, and A
Hand of Bridge with Intermezzo
Opera.
Krista River appears in Handel's Messiah,
November 27-December 4, 2005.
