For two centuries, the Handel and Haydn Society (H+H) has made an enduring cultural impact on the City of Boston. To mark the occasion, The Boston Globe’s Jeremy Eichler moderates a panel discussion on Friday, March 27: “The Handel and Haydn Society: Past, Present, and Future.” Panelists include music writer Jan Swafford, H+H Executive Director and CEO Marie-Hélène Bernard, and music critic Donald Rosenberg. Open to the public, this event will have broad implications for classical music. Subjects for discussion include how arts organizations can evolve and thrive in the 21st century and how education programs and community engagement are vital to arts organizations’ success.
