Jessica Cooper

SOPRANO

Ms. Cooper began her professional career as a musician in Boston in 2000 and has appeared regularly with the region’s top performing groups as both a soloist and an ensemble member. She was a voice faculty member at the University of Massachusetts, Boston from 2006- 2021, and contributed to the university’s culture of social justice, diversity, urban and global engagement, creating the “Affirming Identities Through the Arts” series in 2020.

Jessica is the founder and artistic director the Henry Purcell Society of Boston, a non-profit specializing in historically informed performance of music from the English Baroque repertoire. Jessica’s voice is on several H+H choral recordings, under the baton of Harry Christophers, as well as on the Grammy award winning Far in the Heavens, Prayers and Remembrances, with the True Concord ensemble and orchestra.
