Desiree Glazier-Nazro


Desiree Glazier-Nazro, an extremely versatile percussionist, has had the pleasure of performing with artists such as The Beach Boys, Tony Bennett, Andrea Bocelli, Hugh Jackman, Andy Williams, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Bobby McFerrin, and Quincy Jones to name a few. In addition to her work with national acts, Desiree is a regular performer in Broadway show pits, prestigious large contemporary orchestras, baroque orchestras and chorales in the Boston area.

Desiree is also the co-founder and lead pan player of Steel Rhythm, a steel drum band, with a worldwide audience. Steel Rhythm has performed prestigious events such as the "Pre World Series Gala" at Fenway Park in 2018 and the New England Patriots Cheerleaders' "Calendar Launch Party" in addition to hundreds of high-end corporate and private events. Steel Rhythm's music can be enjoyed on all streaming platforms, including YouTube, boasting over 8 million views.

Desiree holds degrees from The Hartt School of Music (BM summa cum laude) and The Boston Conservatory (MM). Along with her passion for music, Desiree also enjoys traveling, skiing, running (3 marathons) and spending time with family and friends.
