Eric Christopher Perry is a dynamic vocal artist, conductor, educator, and arts entrepreneur, praised by The Boston Globe for his “sharp physicality and ringing tenor voice” and recognized for his energetic performances, thoughtful programming, and expert interpretation. His work has been seen and heard across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, while his recordings as a conductor have reached listeners in more than 150 countries.

Perry is artistic director, conductor, and a founding member of Renaissance Men (RenMen), New England’s professional male vocal chamber ensemble. Over more than a decade, RenMen has presented sold-out performances throughout the Eastern United States and released multiple critically acclaimed recordings on Navona Records and RenMen Records. A champion of new music for low voices, Perry has led RenMen in premieres and commissions by composers including Daniel E. Gawthrop, Sydney Guillaume, Hilary Tann, Patricia Van Ness, Jay Mobley, Charles Stacy III, Andrew Clarkson, Stuart Forster, and Tara Mack. In 2023, he conducted a collection of works including Stravinsky’s Renard at Boston University in collaboration with KAIROS Dance Theater, which was partially revived at Boston’s Institute of Contemporary Art in 2026. RenMen is also active in community activism through recent partnerships with Boston City Singers, Boston Children’s Chorus, and academic residencies across New England.

As a conductor of mixed-voice choral and orchestral repertoire, Perry’s recent performances include works by Arvo Pärt, Abby Betinis, Francine Trester, Joseph Haydn, Johann Sebastian Bach, Reinhard Keiser, and Christoph Graupner. In 2025, he was appointed full-time music director of Seraphim, a Boston sacred music institution, succeeding founder and Music Director Emerita Jennifer Lester, and has led the ensemble through performances of Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem, Rachmaninoff’s All Night Vigil, and Animal Requiem by Racher Fuller. He has appeared as a guest conductor, presenter, clinician, and adjudicator at conferences and festivals across the United States and will be an artist-in- residence at The Master’s University in Los Angeles, California in January 2027.

A native of Waterville, New York, Perry relocated to Boston in 2012 and has established an active career as a tenor soloist and ensemble singer. In 2014, Perry was invited to join the internationally renowned Handel and Haydn Society chorus and has enjoyed over a decade’s worth of ensemble and solo engagements at Boston’s Symphony Hall and on tour across the United States, as well as numerous recordings on CORO Records. He is also a veteran of Boston’s Emmanuel Music, where he has sung more than 100 cantatas of J. S. Bach as a soloist or ensemble member. Other notable solo appearances include South Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, MIT Symphony Orchestra, Phoenix Symphony, Horto Festival (Greece), Oregon Bach Festival, Connecticut Early Music Festival, The Boston Camerata, Cantata Singers, University of Massachusetts Bach Festival, Blue Hill Bach Festival, Cappella Clausura, and Labyrinth Choir, among others. A devoted music educator, Perry currently serves on voice faculty at Salem State University.
