Margaret Lias

ALTO

Margaret Lias has been celebrated for her “warm,” “arresting,” and “rich-toned” singing. Since her Boston Symphony Hall debut in 2011 with the Handel and Haydn Society, Margaret has been a frequent soloist under the baton of Harry Christophers. In 2015, Margaret received praise for her Lincoln Center solo debut singing Mozart’s Requiem. Select solo appearances this season include Princeton Pro Musica, Portland Symphony Orchestra, Handel Society of Dartmouth, Masterworks Chorale, Cleveland Orchestra, Back Bay Chorale, and Emmanuel Music. An avid supporter of ensemble work, Margaret was a founding member of The Skylark Vocal Ensemble, is a member of Seraphic Fire, Boston Baroque, Voices of Ascension, Sacred Music in a Sacred Space, Emmanuel Music, and Musica Sacra New York. Margaret is also proud of her administrative work as chorus representative for the Handel and Haydn Society and as a member of the Board of Directors for Lorelei Ensemble.
