

MAYA bloom
SOPRANO
Lyric soprano Maya Bloom, lauded for bringing “angelic grace” to her performance (Boston Classical Review, 2022), is an emerging ensemble and solo artist based in Boston. She recently began singing in the Handel and Haydn Society Chorus and is a member of the Back Bay Chorale, where she has also been a featured soloist since 2021, including their 2022 rendition of Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem. Maya’s additional choral experience includes previous work as a soloist and section leader at the Church of the Redeemer in Chestnut Hill, as well as her ongoing role as a soloist at First Parish of Sudbury.
In addition to her work as a performer, Maya has a rich background in music education and currently applies her skills as an instructional designer at InterSystems, where she focuses on accessibility and creating user-centered experiences. She holds an MM in Music Teaching from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and a BA in Music (Vocal Performance) from Haverford College. Maya brings a blend of artistry and advocacy to her work, aiming to make both music and technology more accessible and enriching for diverse audiences.
