H+H Cancels Bach St. Matthew Passion, April 3 + 5

Dear Friends and Supporters of H+H,

It is with great regret that I’m writing to tell you that we are canceling Handel and Haydn Society’s April 3 + 5 performances of Bach St. Matthew Passion.

During these challenging days as we all face the pandemic of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we believe it’s part of our commitment to our wonderful audiences, musicians, staff, and our full H+H family, to care for each other. In following Governor Baker’s guidelines banning events larger than 250 people, we need to fully cancel these performances. We regret that we are unable to reschedule to a later date.

If you have purchased a ticket to St. Matthew Passion, we ask if you might consider donating it using this form – these funds will help us compensate our musicians for this cancellation, and cover other performance costs that have been incurred. We will be happy to send you a tax receipt letter.

If you prefer, you can exchange your tickets to a future H+H performance, either later this season or in our 2020-21 season. If you want an exchange, please log in and complete this form on our website: handelandhaydn.org/ticket-exchange.

If these options don’t work for you, please contact our box office for a ticket refund. Please email boxoffice@handelandhaydn.org or call 617.266.3605, Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM.

We appreciate your patience as we respond to our many supporters who have purchased tickets to this performance.

We will continue to keep you updated on our ongoing decisions for H+H concerts, events, and education programs.

Thank you for your support of H+H.

Best wishes for good health,

David Snead
