Sir Roger Norrington leads a concert performance of Haydn’s magnificent opera L’anima del filosofo on January 23 and 25 at Symphony Hall. Telling the mythical story of Orfeo and Euridice, this seldom-heard masterpiece boasts a gorgeous array of moving arias and grand choruses performed by an outstanding cast of soloists including Sarah Coburn (soprano) and the Handel and Haydn Society Chorus.
