Monica Hatch, soprano, joined the Handel and Haydn Society in 2010. She has been soprano soloist with Arcadia Players; Salisbury Singers; the Massachusetts Thayer, and Concord Symphonies; Worcester Collegium; Bach Society of Worcester. Solo performances include C.P.E. Bach’s Magnificat, J.S. Bach’s St. John Passion, Missa Breves, Magnificat and cantatas, Respighi’s Laud to the Nativity, Will Todd’s Mass in Blue, Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, Requiems of Faure, Brahms and Mozart, Orff’s Carmina Burana, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Handel’s Messiah, and Schubert’s Mass in G. The Boston Globe hailed her as “particularly outstanding” for her performances in Ellington’s Sacred Concerts at two Boston Globe Jazz & Blues Festivals. A music faculty member at W.P.I., Monica has several CDs to her credit in both classical and jazz. She hosted the Jazz Matinee on WICN 90.5 FM for more than five years.
