Paul Perfetti

TRUMPET

Paul Perfetti performs on baroque trumpet and cornetto with Boston Baroque, Handel and Haydn Society, Aston Magna, and Boston Early Music Festival (BEMF). Mr. Perfetti’s recordings on Telarc, Linn, Coro and Centaur include, among others, Boston Baroque: J.S. Bach: Complete Orchestral Suites, Mass in B minor (2000 Grammy nominee), Mozart’s Requiem and Handel’s Messiah (1992 Grammy nominee), Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610 (on cornetto) and Il ritorno d’Ulisse (2014), Handel’s Messiah (2014), and Mozart’s Requiem with the Handel + Haydn Society (2011), Lully’s Psyche (2008 Grammy nominee) with BEMF, and Monteverdi’s Orfeo with Aston Magna (2008). Mr. Perfetti is a guest lecturer on natural trumpets at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts Musical Instrument Collection, and is featured on recordings and video for the MFA’s instrument gallery and eBook. He was principal trumpet with two national touring companies of Les Miserables from 1998 to 2006.

Mr. Perfetti holds a BM from University of Wisconsin and a MM in trumpet performance “with distinction” from the New England Conservatory of Music. Formerly, Paul Perfetti served as the Artistic Administrator and Personnel Manager for Boston Baroque.
