Where should I park?
Valet parking is available in front of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Boylston Street. Parking is also available at the Prudential Center Garage.

Will I receive an actual ticket?
No, your name will be on the RSVP list at check-in where you’ll receive your dinner seating assignment.

I am planning to attend, but I have special dietary needs. Can they be accommodated?
Yes. Please email our Development Department at development@handelandhaydn.org. With advance notice, the hotel is able to accommodate all special dietary requests.

What should I wear?
We recommend formal/Black Tie for The Society Ball. For examples of attire from prior galas, please see our Facebook page for photos from 2019 and 2018.

Will there be dancing?
Yes! When the live and silent auction ends, members of the Handel and Haydn Society Orchestra will perform waltzing music for those interested in dancing.

What time does the Gala usually end?
In most years the official activities of the auction end by 10:00 p.m. Dancing may continue until 11:00 p.m.

What is the purpose of the gala?
Proceeds from the evening with benefits H+H’s education programs, which serves thousands of students in Greater Boston through youth choruses and in-school music instruction.

I can’t come to the gala, can I still make a donation?
Absolutely! We are so appreciative of any donation to The Society Ball, as it helps reach our overall goal in support of our education programs. Make your donation here.
