The Handel and Haydn Society was thrilled to host The Society Ball 2016 Gala Benefit at the Fairmont Copley Plaza on Saturday, April 2. Friends and supporters of H+H gathered to honor Kathy Weld, the chair of H+H’s education committee and a longtime board member whose dedication and caring is truly admirable.
Guests were treated to performances by three acclaimed musicians from the Period Instrument Orchestra—concertmaster Aisslinn Nosky, principal cellist Guy Fishman, and fortepianist Ian Watson—in addition to performances by H+H’s Youth Chorus, Young Men’s Chorus, and Young Women’s Chorus. The evening also featured cocktails, dinner, a live auction and giving opportunity, and dancing with the Bo Winiker Orchestra.
The Gala was co-chaired by Judith and Mark King, Cathleen and James Stone, and Terry and Michael Taylor. Boston Private was the corporate sponsor for the event and Graphic Group was the print sponsor.
