Keiran Campbell

CELLO

Keiran Campbell enjoys a vibrant career exploring music ranging from the renaissance to the present day. After studying with Leonid Zilper, former solo cellist of the Bolshoi Ballet, Keiran received his Bachelors and Masters at the Juilliard School, working with Darrett Adkins, Timothy Eddy, and Phoebe Carrai. Keiran also spent several springs in Cornwall, England, studying with Steven Isserlis and Ralph Kirshbaum at Prussia Cove. He has performed with ensembles in North America including NYBI, Philharmonia Baroque, The Boston Early Music Festival Orchestra, Four Nations Ensemble, Violons du Roy, Arion Orchestre Baroque, and Twelfth Night. In Europe, he often performs with The English Concert and Le Concert des Nations. Recent engagements include principal cello in Utopia Orchestra at the Salzburger Festspiele under Teodor Currentzis, BBC Proms and Edinburgh Festival performances with The English concert, Monteverdi Madrigals with Jordi Savall at Carnegie Hall, and concerto appearances with Mercury Chamber Orchestra and Tafelmusik. Keiran has given masterclasses in North America, Europe, and Asia, and during the summer he is on the faculty of Chamber Music Collective.


Keiran lives in Toronto with his wife, violinist Chloe Fedor, where he is co-principal cello of Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra.
