Mezzo-soprano Julia Cavallaro has appeared in concert and stage productions with Boston’s premier ensembles, including the Handel and Haydn Society, Boston Landmarks Orchestra, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, and Boston Early Music Festival. Her voice had been praised for its “pure and lovely tone” (Boston Musical Intelligencer). Upcoming solo engagements include Handel’s Messiah with the New England Classical Singers; Schumann’s Frauenliebe und -leben and Conrad Susa’s Dangerous Liaisons with the Boston Opera Collaborative; and Bach’s Mass in B minor with the choirs of Trinity Church in the City of Boston. She also performs frequently with several Boston-based chamber ensembles, including Schola Cantorum, Seven Times Salt, Canto Armonico, and Musical Offering. A staff singer at Trinity Church in the City of Boston, she received her master’s degree from Boston University and bachelor’s degree from Harvard College. In addition to her performing career, Ms. Cavallaro is the Administrative Coordinator for the Tufts University Department of Music.
